Scarf Dinners are heading to Stomping Ground Beer Hall.

.

Our first Scarf Dinners season for the year will take place at the fabulous Stomping Ground Beer Hall in Collingwood! Recently taking out the top spot in Beer & Brewer Top 50 Brewpubs, Stomping Ground has been serving up excellent food and tasty brews since 2016. Autumn Scarf Dinners will run on Tuesday nights from 20 March through until 15 May, and we have a feeling this season is going to be a particularly busy one, so make sure you get in early to book a table.

The Stomping Ground Beer Hall chefs are doing the cooking and they’ve created a seriously tasty two course set menu (entree + main with choice, $45 per person). Dishes include ‘Grilled Cone Bay barramundi, spinach, fennel and burnt butter’, ‘Wild mushroom and pearl barley risotto, grilled radicchio and salted ricotta’ and ‘Black Angus short rib, pearl onions and black cabbage.’ Yep, we’re frothing at the sound of this menu too!

Trainee-turned-mentor Negasi will be volunteering behind the bar this season to support the new trainees.

We’ve just recruited eight awesome new trainees, who’ll engage in weekly training sessions throughout the 10-week Autumn Scarf program, spanning formal service, wine, cocktails, beer, coffee and more. Then, during Tuesday night Scarf Dinners, trainees will gain paid work experience as they learn the ins and outs of front of house service. Trainees will be supported by Scarf mentors, hospitality professionals from fantastic venues like Cumulus Up, Garden State Hotel, O.MY and Market Lane. We can’t wait to introduce you to the new team during the Autumn Scarf season.

And, some fantastic new sponsors have recently jumped on board the good ship Scarf! Throughout all Scarf Dinners seasons in 2018, our drinks list will feature wine from Punt Road, beer from Stomping Ground Beer Co, and gin from Four Pillars. And, we’ll be serving up Aperol Spritzes and Negronis thanks to some love from Campari Australia. These beverages round out our fabulous drinks list, which also features whisky from STARWARD, vermouth from Casa Mariol and mineral water from Daylesford and Hepburn Mineral Springs Co, who’ve all been generously supporting Scarf for years.
