10-week Seasonal Program

Trainee positions: 8

Scarf’s 10-week Seasonal Programs include weekly training sessions and a series of Scarf Dinners (on Wednesday afternoons and evenings) in a partner restaurant, where trainees are supported by hospitality mentors whilst gaining paid work experience. Trainees are paid Restaurant Industry Award wages for their work during weekly Scarf Dinners, allowing for plenty of real work experience which can be added to a resume! After 10 weeks of training, mentoring and work experience, trainees are offered up to six months of post-program support with a focus on Wellbeing and Job-Readiness.

Our next 10-week Seasonal Program will be Autumn Scarf '23, running in Kensington (inner west Melbourne) every Wednesday from 15 March - 10 May 2023. Trainee interviews will take place in February/March 2023. Register your interest now.

Skill Up with Scarf

Trainee positions: 8

Skill Up with Scarf is a three day program designed so that participants can learn basic hospitality skills, grow their knowledge of the hospitality industry in Melbourne, and get ready to launch into employment thanks to awesome, practical job readiness workshops and valuable certificate training. And because coffee is such an integral part of Melbourne hospitality culture, it includes one session of hands-on espresso coffee training thanks to our partnership with Five Senses Coffee.

Our next Skill Up with Scarf program will run in May 2023. Register your interest now.
