Skill Up with Scarf . Skill Up with Scarf is a 3-day short course, designed for 16 participants to learn basic hospitality skills, grow their knowledge of the hospitality industry in Melbourne, and get ready to launch into employment thanks to awesome, practical job readiness workshops. Because coffee is such an integral part of Melbourne hospitality culture, it includes one day of hands-on espresso coffee training thanks to our partnership with Five Senses Coffee. Furthermore, all participants who take part in Skill Up with Scarf will become members of our ever-growing Scarf Community, and will be invited to regular community catch-ups and social gatherings, and there may even be the opportunity for them to pick up paid work experience shifts at future Scarf Events. . To Apply We have up to 16 trainee places available for young people (18 - 28 years old) from asylum seeker, refugee or migrant backgrounds who are keen to work in hospitality and facing barriers to employment.
